BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Birmingham police are asking for help locating and identifying two women accused of shoplifting from two businesses.

The first incident happened on November 5 at 3:35 p.m. Police say the women went into Roses in the 800 block of Dennison Avenue and took several things. When they left the store  the cashier followed them and a struggle over the items began. Police say the cashier was hit by the getaway car and has minor injuries.  A parked car was also hit.

On November 17, police say the same women stole several items from a CVS Pharmacy in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue South.

The store manager and cashier confronted the suspects and the suspects ran out of the store with the merchandise.

The cashier followed the suspects outside, a brief struggle ensued, and she was able to get some of the merchandise back prior to them leaving the scene.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects is asked to call Detective Wilder at 205-254-1753 or Crime Stoppers at 254-7777.
