HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - Auburn football fans are gearing up for the SEC Championship game in Atlanta on Saturday.
Over at Bama Fever/Tiger Pride at Patton Creek, they saw a steady stream of Auburn fans making last minute purchases either to watch the game here at home or to head over to Atlanta.
Cody Corley is from Cullman and he is preparing to head to Atlanta early Saturday morning. Corley and other Auburn fans are enjoying their season so far, especially since it was capped with a victory over Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
The fans believe this Auburn team has the makings of a championship team and if this team is healthy for the big game Saturday, they believe this could be a special year for the Tigers.
"It really means a lot. During the middle of the season, we kind of fell off the radar but we held in there. Just kept churning along. I feel like we are hitting on all cylinders now," Corley said.
Corley and other Auburn fans will also tell you they are a bit nervous. They don't know the health of their star running back Kerryon Johnson and taking on Georgia a second time is never easy, but if everybody is healthy they hope to make a good run in the playoffs.
