An auto supplier will bring approximately 170 new jobs to Tuscaloosa County, according to an announcement from the Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority.
SAS Automotive Systems will be a supplier for the new generation of Mercedes-Benz SUVs built at the plant in Vance. SAS builds cockpit modules. 160 of the employees will work in the shop.
According to the release from TCIDA, the company plans to start the hiring process soon, with production set to start next year.
