BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Happening Wednesday, Nov. 15th, the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry will be helping the under-served and the homeless in the community.

Participants will receive teeth cleanings, fillings and extractions at no cost to them. This is part of the 5th Annual UAB Dentistry Cares Community Day.

“This is something we decided to do because we know there is a tremendous need for dental care for low-income adults,” said Conan Davis, DMD, assistant dean for Community Collaborations and Public Health. “It’s taken a good bit of effort behind the scenes to get this going, but we are so thankful to all of our volunteers who make this event successful.”

The care day will be held at the UAB School of Dentistry which is located at 1919 7th Ave S Birmingham, Alabama 35233 from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
