Man accused of grabbing 14-year-old girl at Wal-Mart in custody

TRUSSVILLE, AL (WBRC) -

A 25-year-old Ragland man faces charges after he allegedly grabbed a 14-year-old girl at the Wal-Mart in Trussville in October.

Trussville police say Brent Lee Higginbotham turned himself in to the Jefferson County Jail late Tuesday morning.

 He's charged with first-degree sexual abuse by force and second-degree sexual abuse.

"The Trussville Police Department would like to thank citizens that phoned in with information surrounding the identity of the suspect along with other details of the case as well as media outlets for sharing the initial  photos of the suspect and his vehicle, which greatly impacted our ability to get him identified in a timely manner," police said in a press release.

Higginbotham's bond totals $15,000.
