J-P: Clearing skies and colder temperatures

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The clouds finally cleared across the area and we're looking at temperatures quickly falling into the 40s later Thursday. Expect overnight lows around 40 in Birmingham with temperatures north of I-20 falling into the upper 30s in some spots. Winds this evening will be out of the north making it feel a bit colder.

After a chilly start to Friday, temperatures will reach the lower 60s during the afternoon. The weather for high school football games will remain chilly. Make sure you have a jacket. Temperatures will quickly fall into the 40s.

First Alert: It is possible we could see some patchy frost early Saturday for places north of I-20. Expect highs in the mid 60s. The weather will be almost perfect for Veterans Day. No rain is expected at the Auburn or Alabama games. Temperatures by Sunday will reach the lower 60s with morning lows in the mid 40s.

Temperatures will reach the upper 60s by Monday with mostly sunny skies. Expect a gradual warming trend next week with highs in the lower 70s.
