Birmingham PD needs help solving three homicides that happened Wednesday

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The Birmingham Police Department continues to look into three murders which happened on the same day in Birmingham. The police department is looking for any help they can get from the public to find the shooters.

All three shootings happened within hours of each other, but they are not related. The Birmingham Police department does not believe these multiple shooting are random. Investigators believe the victims in these cases knew the shooter.

The BPD believes the public can provide information that could lead to those shooters and help put them behind bars and bring closure for the families.

"At the end of the day, we need to focus on reaching the community better and police can't do that by themselves, but we need an ongoing continued partnership with the community stakeholders," Sgt. Bryan Shelton said.

Sgt. Shelton says anyone can contact Crimestoppers at 205-254-7777 or the department's homicide unit at 205-254-1700. Their information will be confidential. If leads to an arrest the person could be eligible for a reward.
