J-P: Rain ending tonight, drier weather Thursday

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

We'll see a few spotty showers across the area Wednesday night. The drive in to work or school early Thursday should be cloudy with only a slight chance for rain. Later in the day, expect mostly cloudy skies with only a slight chance for rain. Highs will reach the mid 70s.

Rain chances again climb on Friday with the chance for a few thunderstorms along with rain showers. The best rain chances will be during the afternoon and early evening. We can expect a 30-percent rain chance. Be prepared for a few showers if you're heading to a high school football game.

We'll see some spotty showers and storms again on Saturday with highs in the around 80 degrees. By Saturday evening, the rain chances will be gone. Both the Alabama and UAB games look mainly dry and mild with only small rain chances. The Auburn game in Texas looks sunny and warm. Expect overnight lows around 60 degrees. Sunday looks dry and mild with temperatures in the upper 70s. 

Monday and Tuesday will be mainly dry with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
