TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - Friday night, the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit made an arrest in an elderly man's murder case that went cold, while also arresting another man who burglarized his home the same night.
69-year-old Lester Williams was found shot to death in his home this summer and investigators came up close and personal with the man they said killed him.
"I ain't do it. ...I didn't do it. You can ask my family," said Cody Williams.
Police charged 18-year-old Williams with the murder of Lester Williams. Investigators said he's connected somehow.
18-year-old Fernandez Britton Jr. is charged with burglary after police said he burglarized Williams home prior to his murder.
Britton didn't have much to say when he was being taken away but Williams was very vocal.
"They got the wrong person. I didn't do it, I'm innocent, I love you baby mama," said Williams.
More details investigators said are expected to come out soon.
