Emily's Heirloom Pound Cake
6-8 fresh strawberries - depending on size
2 cups Confectioners sugar
1/4 cup Buttermilk
2 Tablespoons lemon zest
2 Teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 Teaspoon Lemon flavor
Put Confectioners sugar in bowl...add lemon zest, 1 tsp lemon juice & flavor...pour in buttermilk starting a little at a time...stir to desired thickness...if too thick, add more milk
Slice strawberries and place on top of cake to cover top completely..squeeze a little lemon juice on top of cake for added flavor...add a little zest to garnish & beautify...drizzle glaze on cake making sure glaze rolls down the sides of cake.
