Tuscaloosa police's search for a gunman accused of shooting and killing another man has come to an end.
Authorities arrested Lornzo Maurice Polke Thursday evening. They took him into custody at 7:15 p.m. in Holt.
Investigators say Polke was arrested without incident. He faces a capital murder charge in the shooting death of Bobby Lee Herrod, Jr. on Sept. 19. He was taken into custody at the home of 42-year-old Christopher Harris.
Harris has been charged with first-degree hindering prosecution, Police say Harris harbored and assisted Polke for several days. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
Investigators are working to identify others who may have helped Pole while he was on the run. Additional charges and arrests could be pending.
Polke is being held without bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
