Man wanted in deadly Gadsden hotel shooting captured

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) -

Gadsden police say a man wanted in a deadly hotel shooting is now in custody.  

Authorities confirm that  36-year-old Bruce Macon was arrested overnight

Police responded to a call of shots fired on Tuesday around 8:15 p.m. at the Gadsden Inn & Suites located in the 200 block of North Albert Rains Boulevard.

They found a male with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, 28-year-old Derick Scott Parham, was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Detectives also found a second gunshot victim, a 23-year-old woman, who was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A motive has not been released. Police say the suspect and the victims knew each other.
