A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. this morning for North Alabama. All the counties from Cullman north and east of I-65 are included in the advisory area. Visibility will be limited to between two and four miles with some areas where visibility will be limited to a quarter mile in valleys and near large lakes. This will make hazardous driving conditions early this morning. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
To the south, a stalled front will sink slowly south through the remainder of the weekend eventually stalling in South Alabama early Monday morning. There remains at least a 50 percent chance for rain along the front with a higher rain chance to the south. Behind the front, northerly winds move across Central Alabama bringing drier air and fewer storms in the week ahead. The ridge of high pressure and continued northerly winds will continue to limit rain chances through the beginning of next weekend with highs near average through the week.
