Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen along with players Donald Gray, Dez Harris, and Martinas Rankin spoke to the media Tuesday on day two of SEC Media Days at the Wynfrey Hotel.
This is Mullen's ninth trip to SEC Media Days and has led the Bulldogs to seven consecutive bowl games. "The iPad hadn't been created when I first started coming to SEC Media Days," Mullen joked.
Mullen highlighted his returners, starting with junior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder returns after throwing for 2,423 yards and 21 touchdowns and running for 1,375 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Mullen also talked about new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. "I think he will bring a new personality to the defense," Mullen said.
Mullen also spoke about the youth at the wide receiver position, but said there will be a lot of new faces on the defensive side of the ball. "I expect us to have a pretty good year," Mullen added.
