HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - The 2017 football season cannot come fast enough for LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron. The Tigers coming off an 8-4 campaign, in which, the program went through an in season firing with Les Miles, then a roller coaster search for a replacement. 2016 left a bad taste in the mouth for most on the Bayou.
Order has now been restored, or at least that's the hope in Baton Rouge. Coach "O" is set to ready the ship. "We expect to compete for the SEC title and then a shot at a national championship," says Orgeron.
"The talent is here we just have to coach up the talent and get them ready to play."
It begins at running back with Darius Guice. A bruising, strong back who plans to fill the shoes of Leonard Fornette.
LSU opens the season against BYU.
