Opelika teen with autism hopes to collect thousands of cards for his 18th birthday

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – An Opelika teen with autism is hoping to collect thousands of birthday cards with your help.

Jake Helms collected and saved nearly 3,000 birthday cards in 2015, and this year his goal is to surpass 2,600 cards.

According to Jake’s mom, they have only received 25 cards this year, and his birthday is on Saturday, June 3.

If you would like to drop a card in the mail for Jake, their mailing address is 104 N. 3rd St., Opelika, AL 36801.
