1 head of cabbage chopped course
2 large onions chopped
1/2lb bacon chopped
1lb bow tie pasta
1/4 cup olive oil
1 stick butter
Salt & Pepper to taste
In a large pot bring 4-6 quarts of water to a boil and cook pasta for about 2 minutes less than the package recommends. You want pasta firm. Then drain and set aside.
In another large pot cook chopped bacon to your liking and drain grease.
In the same pot on medium heat add olive oil and butter and sauté onions and cabbage till soft. Add cooked bacon and noodles and combine.
Cook on low heat for an additional 5 minutes, salt and pepper to taste and enjoy
