NASHVILLE, AL (WBRC) - Alabama beat South Carolina 64-53 Friday afternoon to advance to the semifinals in the SEC Basketball Tournament.
After a back and forth battle, Alabama went on a 10-0 run in the final two minutes of the game to seal the deal.
Braxton Key led the team with 18 points while Riley Norris had 12.
"We played a solid 32 minutes out of 40, but we need to play better than that if we want to give ourselves a chance on Saturday," head coach Avery Johnson said.
Alabama will face Kentucky in the semifinals inside Bridgestone Arena on Saturday at noon.
"Free throws and turnovers, that's what hurt us last time so we just need to go out there defensively and rebound and be solid on offense," said Braxton Key.
