BATON ROUGE, LA (WBRC) -

No. 1 Alabama’s game with No. 13 LSU Saturday night felt eerily similar to their 2011 meeting in which the Tide lost 9-6.

Three quarters passed before either team scored in this year’s meeting. Fortunately, for the Tide, they were the ones to find the end zone. They maintained their shutout and left Baton Rouge with a 10-0 win.

Jalen Hurts capped off a 12-play, 90-yard drive with a 21-yard scamper to the end zone in the fourth quarter.

The Tide crushed LSU’s hopes of matching that score when Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted their pass on the following drive.

Bama milked the clock down to within three minutes remaining and Adam Griffith knocked down a 25-yard field goal to make it 10-0.

The Tigers ran four plays on their final drive, but only gained two yards and turned the ball over on downs.

Bama ran out the clock and celebrated its sixth straight win over LSU.

Hurts passed for 107 yards and completed 10-of-19 passes. He rushed for a game-high 112 yards on 19 carries.

Bama (9-0, 6-0 SEC) plays again on Nov. 12 at home against Mississippi State.
