Clare Huddleston has more on a public housing development causing controversy in Oxmoor Valley at 5 a.m.

Residents in the Oxmoor Valley area are saying they don’t want a new public housing complex moving to their neighborhood. The Birmingham Housing Authority plans to move some residents from the Loveman Village complex to the new development. Clare Huddleston has more at 5 a.m.

Two women were arrested after being interviewed by WBRC about an officer-involved shooting. Sherry Robinson and Gail Harbin were recognized by a viewer who says the two stole items from her antique shop. Police say they found the items and arrested the two.

The bodies of two Fort Hood soldiers were found overnight after their military truck overturned in Texas flood waters. A total of five soldiers have died in the crash and another four are missing. Three are in stable condition at an area hospital.
