Clare Huddleston has the latest at 5 a.m. on a Chelsea pine straw fire that's still burning

A pine straw fire that started in Chelsea yesterday is still burning this morning. Highway 11 in Shelby County is still closed, but old Highway 280 is back open. Clare Huddleston is live at 5 a.m. with more.

A new lawsuit raises questions about the last days of a man who died in police custody at the Tuscaloosa County Jail. The family of Phillip Anderson says in the suit that jail staff ignored has requests for medical attention when he spent a week in jail for missing a child support payment. Terri Brewer has the latest on the suit.

The BJCTA voted to end bus service in Fairfield due to money the city owes the service. The transit authority says the city owes around $545,000. The move will impact more than 300 people.  Ronda will tell you more at 5:30 a.m.
