Janice talked with Jefferson County District Attorney Brandon Falls about how Birmingham City leaders, including his office, the mayor, and police chief came together for the first citywide Domestic Violence Task Force meeting on Tuesday. Also attending the meeting were representatives from the YWCA and new Family Justice Center. Mayor William Bell says more needs to be done to help victims in the city. He said the goal of the meeting was to bring the different agencies together to collaborate so that more education for the public can begin. The new Family Justice Center is scheduled to open in Birmingham's south side in the summer. For more information, call (205) 322-4878 or visit www.oneplacebirmingham.com.
