Ronda Robinson has reaction at 5 a.m. from parents over the firing of 2 Pinson Valley teachers

Parents in Pinson are reacting after the dismissal of two teachers. Drama teacher Brandon Triola and band director Adam Bearden were reportedly dismissed from Pinson Valley leaving parents asking why at a meeting with the school's principal and Jefferson County Schools superintendent. Ronda Robinson has more at 5 a.m.

Alabama is in the running for $50 million in federal grants to help the states miners transition into other job fields.  Twelve other states are also competing. Terri Brewer will be live with more on what the grant could mean for hundreds of Brookwood miners out of work.

Two men were arrested for credit card skimming at gas stations in Jefferson County. The two were busted in Vestavia Hills.
