BBB PAVING SCAMS - Paving companies are one of the most inquired about sectors at BBB. In many cases, it's a matter of not clearly understanding the terms and conditions, so it's important for consumers to do their homework before they agree to hire a paving company. Each spring and summer, BBB receives reports of driveway repair scams and consumers falling victim to door-to-door salespeople who are selling paving services. To avoid falling for asphalt scams, be sure you know who you're dealing with. Watch out for these common signs of an asphalt scam:
• They claim to have leftover asphalt from another job
• High-pressure sales
• Deals that seem too good to be true
• No contract is offered
• Cash-only sales
• Unmarked trucks
Consumers are often safer dealing with a contractor who has roots in the community. BBB advises homeowners to take the time to choose a contractor they can trust when looking to re-do their driveway, and provides the following tips:
• Check references
• Get it in writing
• Know your rights

TWINTUITION - Actresses and identical twins Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley, who rose to fame in their 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister, discuss their new middle-grade series about the super-special—and sometimes supernatural—bond between sisters! In "TWINTUITION: DOUBLE TROUBLE" the second of four books in the Twintuition series, which began with "Twintuition: Double Vision," identical twins Cassie and Caitlyn Waters have adjusted to small-town life in Aura, Texas, however, they're still not used to seeing visions of the future. As their twelfth birthday nears, their Sight only gets stronger, but even with this new gift, neither girl could have predicted what the mysterious package they received would contain—a connection to the father and grandmother they never knew. As the twins struggle to discover more about their own history, they distract themselves by planning a birthday bash with their new friends. When their visions of the upcoming party show it will be more of a catastrophe than a celebration, the girls must work together to keep it fiasco-free.
