Ronda Robinson is live at 5 a.m. with more on a tense meeting in Fairfield regarding the city’s ongoing financial issues. The city council voted to stop the mayor from signing city checks while the mayor questioned two checks cashed by members.

A judge agreed to a change in venue in the Justin Ross Harris case.  The Tuscaloosa native is accused of leaving his toddler son to die in a hot car.

The city of Hoover is trying to secure the SEC Baseball Championship tournament at the Hoover Met for another contract. The city has hosted it for 19 years. Other cities including Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans and Jacksonville also put in bids for the tournament.
