A man and a woman were arrested following a police chase in Vestavia Hills. Clare Huddleston is live on the scene with the latest at 7 a.m.

An eight-year-old and a five-year-old were injured Thursday after the roof of a home collapsed  in the 1700 block of 7th Avenue West in Ensley. The eight-year-old girl was kept in the hospital overnight for observation and the five-year-old was released.

The teen accused of attempted rape, robbery and firing at the officers who tried to arrest him is also being charged with another crime. Police say that 19-year-old Nicholas Bailey is being charged with first-degree rape, first-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping and first-degree theft of property for a March 16 incident where at female victim says he stole her car and sexually assaulted her. Kim Goldman, whose brother Ron was killed with Nicole Brown Simpson in 1994, spoke to the crowd at a vigil for victims of violent crimes Thursday in Walker County. The event was a part of National Crime Victims' Rights week.
