Birmingham police are investigating a Monday night homicide in the West End community. The shooting occurred in the 200 block of 21st Street Southwest. Ronda Robinson is live with updates at 5 a.m.

An Alabama church congregation is hoping to rebuild after the state fire marshal's office ruled that the fire that destroyed their place of worship arson. The Sunday fire occurred at the Cedar Creek Church of Christ near the Marshall and Blount County line.

A former Central High School is accused of touching female students inappropriately. Jarvis Lanier, 32, is facing five counts of having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19. Five victims between the ages of 13 and 17 have been identified by police. Terri will tell you more about the case at 5:30 a.m.
