Good evening from the WBRC FOX6 Newsroom. This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at the stories we're following for you tonight:
Few things make the CDC say "whoops, this is worse than we thought," but the spreading Zika virus threat is one of those. Tonight on WBRC FOX6 News at 9, our Jamiese Price is putting together what she found out from the Jefferson County Health Department as well as the City of Birmingham. They're responding to the notice today from the CDC that this summer's Zika threat could be worse than they feared.
Tonight, a Tuscaloosa track coach is under arrest and accused of inappropriate contact with five students. New tonight on WBRC FOX6 News at 10, Sherea Harris is talking to a student who knew the coach and is shocked by what he's hearing.
Driving back from dinner break tonight was a bit scary. I hope you're home safe and dry tonight in this gully-washer. Wes is in for J-P tonight and updating his radar tracks to see when this rain will clear out and how you should plan for what to wear tomorrow morning.
