A controversial bill that would allow loaded guns to be carried in cars without a permit is currently moving through the state legislature. Some members of law enforcement, including Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Hale, support the bill while the Alabama Sheriff's Association have spoken out against it. Montgomery residents are cleaning up after strong Wednesday storms caused damage as they moved through the area. No injuries were reported, but several mobile homes and cars were damaged.
