Gov. Robert Bentley is reacting to the news of the latest reports of violence inside St. Clair County and Holman Prisons. He plans on holding a press conference outside of Holman today. Sherea Harris and Rick Journey will continue to bring you updates throughout Good Day Alabama.

Several Tuscaloosa non-profits are in need as federal grant money declines in the city. Tuscaloosa receives about half of what it has in the past. Terri Brewer will be live with more.

A Homewood florist made history as the world said goodbye to Nancy Reagan. Carla Layne of Lackey Flora created Reagan’s casket spray as a part of the team that designed the former First Lady’s funeral flowers.

    The principal of Hanceville High School in Cullman County is not wanting to take any chances after a recent school shooting in Florida. On Monday night Hanceville High School principal Jimmy Collins held a security meeting with the Hanceville Police Department, the mayor of Hanceville, Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry and the Cullman County superintendent.
