Good evening! This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at the stories we're working on for you tonight.
We're following several major changes in local cities tonight, starting with Fairfield where the city council and mayor are meeting right now to try and figure out how to keep their city budget afloat now that Walmart's sales tax dollars have stopped flowing. Our Jamiese Price has been on this beat since the financial crisis started and she's live on WBRC FOX6 News starting at 9 with what cuts the council may be forced to consider and whether the city can actually make payroll in the next several weeks.
Two school systems are making major changes tonight: John Huddleston is in Hoover where the school board's ready to vote on their final redistricting plan that some parents still aren't happy with, even after new changes made late last week. Anniston's school system is also being forced to look at changes tonight that could include consolidating or closing some schools and new on WBRC FOX6 News at 10 we're looking at which schools and students may be affected.
