Fairfield police looking for suspect in deadly shooting near Miles College

Fairfield police are searching for a suspect in a deadly Sunday night shooting near Miles College’s campus. A 23-year-old black male was killed Sunday night near the read of campus. Police say the suspect is between 19 and 22-years-old and goes by the nickname G-Boy or G-Bow. Clare Huddleston will be live with more.

Nicholas Hawkins, the 19-year-old who went missing and was later found dead, was laid to rest in Dora Saturday. Police are still investigating his death, but his family thinks the suspect in custody did not act alone.

We’ll have the latest on this weekend’s victories and drop outs in the race to the White House. We’ll also look at the focus on this week’s primary.

An online petition asking the University of Alabama to rename a building after the late Harper Lee has garnered almost 1,800 signatures. The petition aims to change Morgan Hall to Lee Hall in honor of the author who died last week.

We’ll hear from Dr. James Crank about the renaming attempt.

We’ll also learn about a new virus that is attacking smartphones with David Smitherman from the Better Business Bureau.

And, we’ll hear about Susan G. Komen’s  Circle of Promise campaign.
