Dead teen's identity confirmed and West End ghost town faces wrecking ball

Dead teen's identity confirmed
We now know a body found in Walker County is that of 19-year-old Nicholas Hawkins. The coroner confirmed the identity today. Now investigators are continuing to question a person of interest. We'll have the latest on the investigation.
 
U.S. Supreme Court nomination
Who will succeed Justice Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court? That question has opened a fiery debate. When a nomination is made, Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions will be at the heart of the process as he sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Rick Journey spoke with him today about the debate. We'll have Senator Sessions' comments at 5 p.m.

West End ghost town faces the wrecking ball
The demolition of the abandoned, dilapidated buildings of the old Larkway Gardens Apartments in Birmingham's West End began today. We'll have a live report from the area some call the West End ghost town. That story at 6 p.m.
