Family of missing Dora teen waiting on ID of body found; Ronda Robinson is live at 5 a.m. with more

The family of Nicholas Hawkins, a missing Dora teen, says the Walker County Sheriff's office could give them an ID on a body found Tuesday as early as this morning. An investigator found the body buried under brush and debris in an area Hawkins' family thought they had seen his car. Ronda Robinson will be live with updates throughout Good Day Alabama.

More than 50 plaintiffs have joined a lawsuit against Birmingham Building Trades Towers in order to get their belongings back following a 2015 at the apartment complex. More than a dozen disabled and elderly residents were displaced after the October fire.

Demolition on the long-abandoned Old Larkway Gardens apartments is set to begin this morning. The apartments have been called an area of criminal activity and blight. Crews will begin tearing them down at 9 a.m.
