Jimmy Cooper, the man accused of shooting two people in downtown Hamilton, briefly appeared in court Friday. The community gathered to pray for peace and healing as hundreds attended a memorial service for Linda Cole and Danny Cole. Terri Brewer will have more this morning.

A woman has been charged with murder in a deadly altercation in Inglenook that left another woman dead. Josalyn Evans is currently in the Jefferson County jail after police say she shot and killed Iesha Mayhand Friday afternoon on Britton Street.

The Hoover City Council plans on holding a public hearing regarding a rezoning proposal involving turning an apartment complex from a multi-family building to a commercial building.
