Good evening from the WBRC Newsroom! This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at some of the stories we're working on for you tonight.

Vigil in Hamilton

How do you get over seeing your friends gunned down in their workplace, especially in a small town where that sort of violence is unheard of? That’s what the neighbors in Hamilton tonight are coming together to figure out as a group and our Josh Gauntt is inside the memorial service for the two people shot at work, allegedly by the same gunman, last week. Tonight on WBRC FOX6 News at 9 Josh is talking to some of their friends about how Hamilton tries to heal.

Fairfield meets again

Speaking of “how” questions, how can a city replace almost one third of its budget overnight? It’s apparent tonight Fairfield’s mayor and city council don’t have a great answer to that question, but they’ve got to come up with something or risk bankruptcy soon. Our Jamiese Price is live for WBRC FOX6 News at 10 inside the council meeting that’s drawing an overflow crowd right now.
