Good morning from the WBRC.com digital desk! Here are some of the stories and segments you'll see this morning on Good Day Alabama:

A community is in shock after two people were shot and killed in two offices in downtown Hamilton. Investigators say Jimmy Cooper killed Donny Miller at Scott Hunt’s Law office and then walked blocks away to Cole’s Tax office where he shot Linda Cole. Terri Brewer has more on this at 5 a.m.

A Birmingham City Council member is sounding off about the idea of annexing Fairfield. Councilwoman Valerie Abbott says she opposes the idea, saying the city doesn’t need anyone else’s problems.

Hoover City Schools will host the first of six meetings about the system’s school rezoning plan at Brock’s Gap Intermediate School. Several residents have protested the plan by putting out blue ribbons on their property.  Clare Huddleston will tell you more this morning.
