Good morning from the WBRC.com digital desk! Here are some of the stories and segments you'll see this morning on Good Day Alabama:

On the east coast, Washington, D.C. is set to bear the brunt of a historic blizzard that could bring upwards of two feet of snow. The city’s mayor issued a state of emergency that will last for the next 15 days.

The state of Alabama executed its first inmate in more than two years Thursday. Christopher Brooks was executed for the rape and murder of JoDeann Campbell in Homewood in 1992.

Janice will talk to professional organizer Fay Wolf about her new book, “New Order: A Decluttering Handbook.”

A reporter from the Birmingham Business Journal will bring us the latest business headlines in the city.

And, REV Birmingham will stop by to gives us the details on the city’s first Winter Restaurant Week.
