Authorities investigating 2 weekend robberies

Good morning from the digital desk! Here are some of the stories and segments you'll see this morning on Good Day Alabama:

Authorities are investigating two robberies—one in Bessemer and the other in Warrior. A male suspect robbed the Milo's on Academy Drive in Bessemer around noon and fled in a gray Nissan car. Another suspected robbed a Huddle House in Warrior at 6 a.m. Sunday. Clare Huddleston has more live this morning.

Family and friends gathered to remember 28-year-old Corey Walker, who was shot and killed last week in southwest Birmingham.  He was found shot inside of a car on 16th Way Southwest.

Birmingham should get ready to "feel the Bern." Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will be speaking at Boutwell Auditorium today at a free rally at 6 p.m. This comes a day after he faced off with other candidates during last night's debate.

State Superintendent Dr. Tommy Bice drops by to give us good news on the Alabama's graduation rates.

Alabama author Helen Ellis will talk about her new book, "American Housewife."

And, our gardening expert will be here to take your questions.
