BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A list of the Walmart locations closing in January has been released and several stores across the state of Alabama are on the list, including two in central Alabama.

According to Walmart, the Supercenter in Fairfield and the Express in Snead will close on Jan. 28.

In all, a total of 269 stores will close. Of those, 154 are in the U.S. and nine are located in Alabama.
