Jamiese Price joined WBRC FOX6 News in January 2016.

Jamiese's career as a multimedia journalist began in Huntsville, AL at FOX 54 News. From there, she ventured to the southern part of the state, where she worked at WDHN News in Dothan, AL. In Dothan, Jamiese led the coverage of an ongoing investigation into potential voter fraud, uncovered illegal citations issued by local police, and reported from command central of a seven-day hostage standoff that gained national headlines.

She spent the last two years in Rochester, NY as a reporter / multimedia journalist with Time Warner Cable News. In Rochester, Jamiese was on the frontline of two mass shootings and reported on the fatal accident investigation of NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart. Jamiese was the first reporter on scene of the shooting death of a Rochester police officer killed in the line of duty: The first officer killed on the job in 55 years.

Jamiese is a Birmingham native who earned her B.A. degree from Tuskegee University, where she received a presidential academic scholarship. She continued her education in upstate New York, where she received her M.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

When she’s not on deadline, you’re likely to find her in the kitchen. She loves to cook and try new recipes. Jamiese loves a good book, a great movie, and a gorgeous shoe! 

Jamiese ventured away from home, but she is glad to be back in Birmingham where the weather is warm and so are the people. 

She says, "Working in my hometown is an amazing opportunity. What happens here matters to me, it's not just a story." Jamiese would love to hear from you with any story ideas or just a simple hello.
