Tuscaloosa PD: Man wanted for shooting ex-girlfriend's friend as they return his stuff

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A Tuscaloosa man is being sought after police say he shot at his ex-girlfriend and her male friend as they returned items to him.

Tuscaloosa police are looing for Olando Tashad Waller, 24, pending local charges connected to a Tuesday night shooting in the 2800 block of Herman Avenue.

Officers responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. to find a 27-year-old male victim shot once in the arm and in the leg.

The victim was at the residence with his female friend, who is  also Waller’s ex-girlfriend, as she was returning items, according to a news release from the Tuscaloosa County Homicide Unit.

Police said Waller shot at the victim as he was exiting the car. The car was hit several times, but the woman inside was unharmed.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to DCH Hospital.

Waller is also wanted on a Jefferson County probation violation.
