(RNN) - Bean bag chairs connected with two suffocation deaths are being recalled again after only 790 of the 2.2 million sold from 1995 to 2013 were modified to make them safer.

Children can open zippers on the chairs, crawl inside, get trapped and suffocate or choke on foam beads, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday in a recall alert.

In separate occurrences, a 13-year-old boy from McKinney, TX, and a 3-year-old girl from Lexington, KY, were found dead inside the chairs. A 6-year-old boy opened a bean bag and reportedly swallowed foam beads and had beads in his nose.

Consumers can get free repair kits to disable the zippers so they cannot be opened by contacting Ace Bayou at 855-571-8151 or at acebayou.com/recall-information/.

The recalled chairs were sold at many stores - including Walmart, Big Lots, Bon-Ton and Wayfair - and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Meijer.com for between $30 and $100.

The chairs have "Ace Bayou Corp" printed on a tag sewn into the chairs' cover seams and are in various shapes, sizes, colors and fabrics. They were first recalled Aug. 22, 2014.

"Federal law bars any person from selling products subject to a publicly-announced voluntary recall by a manufacturer or a mandatory recall ordered by the Commission," the CPSC said on its site.

The CPSC requests that consumers report incidents concerning the chairs either online at SaferProducts.gov or by phone at 800-638-2772.
