Hoover Superintendent to present rezoning plans to DOJ

Hoover Superintendent Kathy Murphy plans on presenting her Student Assignment Plan, based on district rezoning changes, to the Justice Department for approval before she presents it to the community next year. Murphy is required to do that because of a 1987 desegregation court order.

New this morning, Birmingham police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit while trying to cross Highway 280.

Hoover police want you to take a good look at this former Walmart employee.  24-year old Adrienne Renae Thomas is accused of stealing 40-thousand dollars from the Walmart Neighborhood market off Lorna Road.

A financial break for service members attending Troy University. The school is creating a scholarship that caps the cost of tuition for activity duty military, National Guard, and their dependents.
