Driver killed in fiery crash and a shake up in U.S. education

Driver killed going wrong way

Forty-two-year-old Michael Gavin Johnstone, Jr. was killed in a wreck on I-459 this morning near The Galleria. He was driving on the wrong side of the interstate. We are working now to learn more about how and why this happened.
 
Every student succeeds

A shake up is coming for education in Alabama and the entire country. The U.S. Senate passed the Every Student Succeeds Act which is an education reform bill intended to update No Child Left Behind. We'll have reaction from state educators.
 
Feds investigate DMV office closings

Did the state of Alabama violate civil rights laws by closing some DMV satellite offices? Governor Robert Bentley says "no" but the U.S. Department of Transportation is investigating. We'll have more reaction from him and Rep. Terri Sewell.
