TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - Class 5A won't have a new champion this year.
St. Paul's Episcopal earned its second straight championship with a 41-26 win over Mortimer Jordan on Thursday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Quarterback Miller Mosley was responsible for two Saints touchdowns. He ran for scores on gains of one and six yards.
Mosely only ran the ball 10 times and totaled 81 yards.
Ostin McPherson led the Saints in rushing with 155 yards on 27 carries, including five-yard and two-yard touchdown runs.
BJ Edmonds also crossed the goal line twice. He ran for a score from a yard out and returned an interception 36-yards for a touchdown.
He led the Saints with nine tackles.
The Blue Devils crossed the goal line three times on the night. Spencer brown did it twice, once from a yard out and again from two yards away.
Duncan Hodges scored on a gain of a yard. He connected with Jacob Dean on a screen pass that went 13 yards for a the game's final score.
