Good afternoon from the desk of Janet Hall. Here are the stories we’re working on for WBRC FOX6 News this evening.

More info on San Bernardino attackers

We are learning more every hour about Syed Rizwan Farook, the man authorities say carried out the massacre in San Bernardino, along with his wife. He apparently had been radicalized by people on the FBI’s list of possible international terrorists. But his motive is still unclear and may be mixed with workplace grievances. We are continuing to follow this for you.

How to deal with an active shooter?

We’re looking closer today at a local program that teaches schools how to deal with an active shooter situation. We’ll also show you a gadget is being used to help alert everyone in the case of a workplace shooting.

Stories you missed

Yesterday we pre-empted our local newscasts to bring you national coverage of the tragic shootings in California. Today we’re bringing you some of the stories we didn’t get to tell you. We’ll look at hover board safety and whether or not it’s a good idea for the kid on your shopping list. And we’ll also check out a buddy program that allows army recruits to sign up with a best friend.

We’ll have these stories and more beginning at 5 p.m. on WBRC FOX6 News.
