Cahaba Heights Domino's puts up billboard in memory of driver slain last year

CAHABA HEIGHTS, AL (WBRC) - A billboard up in memory of the Domino's delivery driver murdered at the District of the Summit apartments.

Najeh Masaeid died after being attacked while on a delivery right before Christmas last year. He worked for the Domino's in Cahaba Heights.

Employees say they wanted to honor him and came up with this billboard. When they told Lamar advertising about it, the company covered the cost.

"He was the best employee, very hard to replace. We actually have to have two, three people do the amount of work that he did," said Clara Hogan, office manager at Domino's.

Masaeid was also a husband, father and grandfather.

Police later arrested a 17-year-old in connection with his death.
