BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Good evening from the WBRC FOX6 Newsroom. This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at the stories we're following for you tonight

San Bernardino mass shooting

Most of our attention in the WBRC FOX6 Newsroom tonight is where you've been glued all day: San Bernardino, California where the mass shooting at an office building occurred early this afternoon. We'll have live coverage from California throughout our 90 minutes of news starting with WBRC FOX6 News at 9 and on WBRC FOX6 News at 10 our Lydia Hu is talking to some of our local police officers who have been through active shooter training to get a sense of what all of these horrible shootings are teaching us about how to respond and how to protect yourself if you find yourself in the middle of a crisis like this.

Spain Park playing for its first Class 7A State Championship

On a completely different note, there are a lot of anxious Spain Park fans right now watching the Jags play for the Class 7A state football championship in Tuscaloosa, we'll be live from Bryant-Denny starting at 9 with highlights and reaction from the big game.

Freemason reacts to robbery suspect's claim

And we're still shaking our heads at this story out of Hoover yesterday with a guy driving his Porsche to a movie theater rob it with a mask and BB gun, then when he got tackled by the manager and arrested by police, claims this was all part of an initiation for the Freemasons. So what does an actual Freemason have to say? Our John Huddleston is sorting through fact and fiction for WBRC FOX6 News at 9.
