Good afternoon from the desk of Janet Hall. Here are the stories we're working on for WBRC FOX6 News this evening.
Apartment fire in Hoover area

A fire broke out in the attic of one building at the Park at Hoover Apartments on Rime Village Way. No one was inside and at this point there are no reports of injuries. Firefighters have been on the scene for several hours. We'll have the latest starting at 5.

Missing woman found alive and well

A Tuscaloosa woman who went missing more than four years ago after a devastating tornado has turned up now alive and healthy. Laurie Anne MaConnell is one of several missing persons cases left unsolved since April 27, 2011. Tuscaloosa authorities say she turned up in Florida where she apparently started a new life. There are now three unsolved cases from that period. We'll take a closer look at them on WBRC FOX6 News at 5.

A Jefferson County teacher is a living lesson in giving. We'll show you how her effort to help a few has turned into a large community effort.
